With a career spanning over 30 years, Guillermo Blanco, the celebrated award-winning interior designer, has carved out a distinguished legacy as a pioneering creative force in his native-Spain, Dubai, London and Bangkok. From creating Oscar winning actress Penélope Cruz’s boutique, Amarcord, in Madrid to Christopher Guy’s showroom and W penthouses in Dubai, from Café Mambo and Savannah on the coast of Ibiza to Hoda Service Apartments in Accra, Guillermo’s portfolio spans an impressive breadth of high-profile projects. Guillermo leads WORLDESIGNTEAM (WDM) in Dubai that specialises in high-end projects like the Lime Tree Villa and Dubai Hills Villa in Dubai and Palawi Resort in Thailand. This would be his second foray into Dubai; he first stepped in 2014, spearheading high-end residential projects like luxury villas at Nad Al Shiba, and Falcon City and hospitality projects like Gold Mercure Hotel. At the time, he would also create the Saadiyat Villa and Khalifa Villa in Abu Dhabi, Dubai Financial Market, Liberty Homes in Abuja, Jordan Villa in Amman and Jbal Omar Mecca Apartments.
