As one of the globe’s most iconic designers, Jozeph Forakis has, over the last two decades, designed for a diverse clientele that includes Foscarini, LG, Samsung, Swarovski, Swatch, Yamaha, Logitech, Sharp, Rotring, CL Yachts, Cheoy Lee Shipyards, and Leonardo Helicopters. His celebrated yacht designs—such as the CLX96 30m and Pegasus 88m—have gained global recognition for establishing new standards in elegance, innovation, and environmental responsibility. Also a product designer, his most notable work, the Havana Lamp for Foscarini, has garnered acclaim and is part of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York’s permanent collection. The former European Design Director for Motorola, he also created other award-winning works like the Logitech Cordless MouseMan Pro and the Swatch Irony Scuba 200. As a lecturer at Domus Academy (since 1997) and Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (since 2014), Jozeph’s work is often recognised for its innovative use of materials and processes.
