On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, 2nd Oct 26 ,
we unveil a new identity.
Della Townships becomes Della Townships India.
At first glance, it may appear to be the addition of just one word. For us, it represents something much larger. It represents where we come from. What we believe India is capable of. And the role we want to play in designing the future of human living.

Why India?
The world is entering a defining period of urbanisation. The cities and communities we design today will influence how generations live, work, learn, heal, connect and experience life for decades to come. For too long, many of the benchmarks India looked towards came from cities created elsewhere in the world.
We believe the coming decades present an opportunity to reverse that direction. India should not merely follow global benchmarks for the future of living. India should help create them. That belief is why India now becomes a visible part of our identity. Not simply as geography. As intent.

From Real Estate to Future-Fit Living Laboratories
At Della, we don’t see townships simply as real estate developments. We see them as Future-Fit Living Laboratories - places where ideas for the next generation of human living can be designed, tested, implemented and continuously improved. Our ambition is to bring together disciplines that have traditionally existed separately:
Masterplanning, Architecture, Hospitality, Wellness, Longevity, Sustainability, Technology, Mobility, Adventure, Recreation, Culture, Education, Community, Nature And integrate them into one human-centric ecosystem. The objective is not merely to build more.
It is to ask a better question:
How should humanity live for the next 100 years?
And then create real places where some of those answers can begin to take physical form.

Designing for Life, Not Just Buildings
Future cities cannot be measured only through taller buildings, wider roads or smarter technology. They must ultimately be measured through the quality of human life they enable. This is where our philosophy of Salutogenic Living becomes fundamental. Instead of designing environments around what is wrong with human health, salutogenic thinking asks what helps people remain physically, mentally and socially well.
It changes the role of masterplanning. Nature becomes infrastructure. Wellness becomes part of everyday life. Movement becomes intentional. Social interaction becomes designed rather than accidental. Technology becomes increasingly invisible. Hospitality becomes a way of living rather than something experienced only while travelling. This is the thinking behind Della Townships India.

Laboratories Must Experiment
Calling our townships laboratories also creates a responsibility. A laboratory must question existing solutions. It must experiment. It must collaborate with people who know more than we do. And it must be prepared to test ideas that may eventually have relevance far beyond its own boundaries. That is why our work increasingly brings together global specialists, architects, engineers, scientists, academic institutions and innovators.
We are exploring how micro-algae can become part of carbon capture, air-quality improvement and living environmental systems. We are exploring how materials presently considered waste - including landfill waste - can potentially become resources for tomorrow’s construction.
We are examining Biophilic and Biomimetic Architecture, Regenerative Landscapes, Medical Wellness, Longevity, Integrated Infrastructure, Multi-Utility Tunnels, Intelligent Township Management and new models of Experiential Hospitality. These are not intended to remain presentations or theoretical research. The ambition is to bring promising ideas into real townships, where they can be experienced at scale.

Building an Indian Platform at Scale
The vision is already moving beyond an idea. Today, Della’s ecosystem spans 12 townships across 10 Indian cities, representing a combined GDV of ₹ 55,586 crs . But scale, for us, is meaningful only when it enables innovation to travel. An idea tested in one township should be capable of informing another. A sustainability intervention should generate knowledge. A successful wellness model should become replicable. A new approach to hospitality, mobility, recreation or community living should become part of an evolving platform. This is how individual developments can begin becoming a network of Future-Fit Living Laboratories across India.

One Vision. The World’s Best Minds.
No single organisation can design the future alone. Our approach is deliberately multidisciplinary and collaborative. Della brings together expertise across masterplanning, architecture, hospitality, wellness, adventure, engineering, landscape, technology and operations, while working with specialist collaborators from India and around the world.
From IIT Madras for Microalgae, Biotechnology and Carbon Sequestration, IIT Bombay for waste-to-resource Innovation and future construction materials, and IGNITE Life Science Foundation for life sciences and Microalgae research, to Tilke Engineers & Architects, Germany, for motorsport and mobility infrastructure, Gary Player for championship golf, and MAYRLIFE, Austria, for medical wellness and longevity, each collaboration contributes specialist knowledge to a shared vision for the future of human living. The role of Della is to bring these worlds together. Not as a collection of amenities. But as one living system.

Why Launch This Identity on Gandhi Jayanti?
The timing is intentional. Mahatma Gandhi’s thinking repeatedly brought the conversation back to people, communities, self-reliance and the kind of society India wanted to create for itself. More than seven decades after Independence, India stands at another extraordinary moment. The question is no longer whether India can participate in the world’s future.
The more interesting question is:
What can India contribute to it?
For us, that contribution begins with something fundamental - how people live.

From India, for the World
This November, we take this thinking to the global stage at the World Architecture Festival in Miami.
Our message is simple:
INDIA - DESIGNING THE TOWNSHIPS OF THE FUTURE.
We want the international architecture, design and development community to see an India that is not waiting for someone else to define the future. An India willing to experiment. An India bringing together design, science, sustainability, wellness, hospitality and technology. An India capable of turning entire townships into laboratories for the future of human living.

The New Della
Our identity has changed because our responsibility has grown. Della Townships India is not simply a new name. It is a declaration of intent. To build boldly. To question convention. To collaborate globally. To experiment responsibly. To design around human well-being. And to create in India ideas that can eventually contribute to the world. The future of human living will not arrive fully designed. Someone has to imagine it. Someone has to experiment with it. And someone has to build it. We believe India can.
