Renovating this Chelsea apartment required balancing the "lofty" feel—characterized by spare geometry and high ceilings—with the need for warmth and comfort.
In the kitchen and dining area, DF&A installed dark walnut cabinetry and lowered the ceiling to create a cozy atmosphere. The kitchen's rich millwork is complemented by a brass chandelier in the dining area, which features an angular design softened by warm hues. While maintaining the stylish austerity of white walls, Danny introduced texture through cladding: limestone in the master bath shower, chevron-patterned tile that flows from wall to floor, and wood wrapping the master bedroom walls.
